This a well laid out and informative website. I was looking into the history of Lodge Moncur and Moncur castle in the Carse of Gowrie. Do you have any history on the lodge and where they held there meetings?
Was it perhaps in the castle? I have been upto the castle and it is in a sad state these days. All information gratefully receiverd,
Nicely laid out, easy to follow and with good content. (Perhaps you should add an on line form for joining) Well done Alex. Fraternally yours, Norman Johns. Lodge Perth royal Arch No. 122
Lodge Carse of Gowrie - Thank you for your message in the Lodge web Guest book. I'm the web master. I informed the Lodge at the meeting last wednesday about your Grandfather's membership - all the members were very interested and pleased that you would like the Lodge to have his Apron and Certificate, we would be very grateful.Unfortunately there were no members who could recall your Grandfather - we're all getting on in years, but not quite that many !! I you would like to send the Apron and Certificate, perhaps you could do so to my address Alec Sykes 16 Glamis Crescent Inchture Perthshire PH14 9QU We will, of course refund any charges that you incur. Once again thank you for getting in touch. yours .. Alex Sykes
My grandfather was a member of Lodge No. 871 in the early 1940's. His name was Hubert Royer and I am in posession of his past Master Mason certificate and his Masonic apron (not sure of correct term) with his name and presented to him by the members of the classes of 1942, January 8, 1942.
My question to you is this something you would like to have for your lodge? Please let me know.
